Missouri Art Studio is located in the Garden behind the Southern Hotel Bed & Breakfast.
The Garden offers something a little special for our stressful lives and a relaxing time.

Marcia has been making baskets since 1981.

After taking a class with some friends, her love of basketry has taken her to professional classes around the Midwest.

After learning many styles and techniques, her favorite is still the rib-style construction, as you see in the basket here.

Her use of materials, including local vines and grasses, and dyes from walnut hulls and other natural findings, result in unique basket creations.

Incorporating antlers into her work has been a challenge.

Using the antler as an integral part without covering its natural beauty is the fulfilling result.

Each basket is signed and dated.
